Balm or oil — which do I actually need?

Balm if your beard's medium to long, kicks out wild, or fights you in the morning. The beeswax holds shape so you don't look like you slept in a wind tunnel. Oil if you want pure conditioning with zero hold. A lot of guys run both.

Why beeswax?

Beeswax is the natural hold. It seals moisture in, keeps the wind and cold out, and gives you a light shape without that crunchy gel-helmet look. Plus it's been a barber-shop staple since your grandfather's grandfather. Real ingredient, real history.

Will it make my beard greasy?

Not if you use it right. Shea butter and the carrier oils are designed to absorb — they soften the skin under the beard (where the itch lives) and condition the hair without leaving a slick. Greasy means too much product, not bad product.

How much am I supposed to use?

Scrape a fingernail's worth out of the tin, rub it between your palms till it melts clear, then work it in from the skin out — not just on the surface hair. More for a long beard, less for a short one. Start small, you can always add.
